OK so months, or maybe years who knows, ago I set up my Asterisk box with my localphone account then forgot about it. It just works...

Anyway today i decide i want to test out Scientific Linux 6, in either preparation to move to Centos 6 or even move to SL 6 not quite decided, so I moved over and configured my email stuff (postfix, dovecot,roundcube,fetchmail etc) from memory which to be honest is fairly trivial as I don't have a complicated setup most works straight out-of-the-box. I then realised oh crap, I need to transfer asterisk.

I amaze myself sometimes, I configured the crap out of that setup and I remembered the whole lot from memory..

again, it just works...

If anyone is interested, I used asterisk now packages on my Centos5 box, for quickness i also used these as they seemed to install ok on my SL6 box...
